Eat My Visibility!

Well... another month and another hour in the books. Today I went up to shoot a picture of a friends house. His name is Leon, he was our old next door neighbor from our first house in Flint. One of the nicest guys you would ever meet. He built a beautiful log cabin in Montrose, MI... very colonial, you feel like you stepped back in time when visiting. Here are a few pictures, although the aerial shot didn't work as well as I hoped, the foliage was still too dense.

Very nice place... I keep telling them to open a B&B, they are both great cooks!

On my way up there, I passed over the I-75... look how wide that is! You can take that same interstate all the way from Michigan to Florida, pretty cool...

The visibility today was out of sight! Or actually, it was all in sight! Just look at the picture leading today's post, you will see how insanely clear it was... 72 MILES! If you get more than 10-15 miles in this area, you're doing pretty good. You can clearly see the skyline of downtown Detroit and the Pontiac Silverdome.

I didn't do much else on this flight, the day was warming rapidly and the winds were getting very gusty. I had about a 12 knot crosswind on this landing, but stuck it clean.

Until Next time...
